Architectural Models

Architectural models come in two basic types - massing and detail models. Massing models are used primary for city planning purposes or as a visual aid to confirm desired layout. In situations where a large area or subdivision is being shown, massing models are used to keep the size of the model manageable. Detail models are used when modeling a single large building or several small ones where a larger scale will still allow for a manageable sized model. Various levels of detail can be added to these types of models from basic colours and trim to full interiors complete with lights. Alberta Industrial Models has constructed both massing and detailed architectural models of varying complexity for clients both locally and overseas.
